So basically summing up the best parts of science class. #mychildhoods
A new video in which I discuss traditional marriage, religion, intersexuality, the idea of marriage as a covenant, and the legal rights of gay people to marry.
First I’d like to thank John for making this-I knew it must have took a lot of courage especially after reading the comments to Hank’s similar video. However, I wish he’d specified the difference between sex and gender-not all intersex people identify as non-binary just as not all male-bodied and female-bodied people identify as binary. Also not a big fan of the use of “gays” and “gay marriage” (I prefer “marriage equality” and/or same-sex marriage) as it erases, however unintentionally (and I’m sure it was unintentional) non-monosexuals (bisexuals, pansexuals, polysexuals, etc.) However, I am very glad John made this video (and for Hank’s video as well). I know he’s getting lots of backlash for being LGBT-supporting, but I hope he knows that most of nerdfighteria still supports him, and is in fact glad he made this. Thank you, John. It means a lot to me not only as a bisexual, but as a human being who cares about the rights of others, and as a nerdfighter whose goal is to increase awesome and decrease suck. You definitely didn’t FTBA.
Best wishes! :)
Legalizing Hate in America
In which Hank discusses marriage equality, which isn’t actually an issue of marriage equality, it’s an issue of human equality, and the fact that we’re still struggling with it is very disappointing.
You do NOT need to define bisexuality inaccurately to prove that pansexuality is a legitimate sexual identity.
Some people are bi. Get over it.
If @StonewallUK made “Some people are bi. Get over it.” tees and PUT A SODDING LINK TO THEIR STORE ON THEIR HOMEPAGE. People would snap those up like hotcakes.
And, no, that doesn’t mean we’d try to eat them.
Also should have “some people are trans*” shirts. I wish one could get away with having a shirt in public that says “Some women have penises, get over it” because we really need to question this “wrong body” narrative with trans people…not all trans people want SRS (though I wish only the best for those who do).
Since Stonewall advertizes itself as LGB then we should at least get them to work on combating biphobia. Getting them to add “trans” is a another can of worms but definitely something the queer community should think about doing. Glad to see more people paying attention to trans* issues lately, now it’s time we get them to also focus on bisexuals and others who are non-monosexual/non-monoromantic. I haven’t been a big fan of Stonewall but I’d gladly buy a “Some people are bi. Get over it.” tshirt.

Hello? Hello out there!
So what have you all thought of our ‘Hunger is Not a Game’ campaign?

We want to hear from you!
I can’t start a food drive as I and all my friends and family tend to eat all the food they buy, but we’re doing a drive of paper bags for a local free clinic. Check out the Fan Free Clinic in Richmond, VA. :)
So much love. RENT was lifesaving for me when I was a teen (and still helps me now). I didn’t put two and two together on this. In my head Maureen and Joanne are now legally married, fictional or no. :)
